Six colours, one material plan
A synthetic example with 48 squares: eight are finished and one more position is locked. A new weighing leaves only 12 g of petrol yarn. The original layout needs 33.2 g of additional yarn, including the selected reserve. Redistributing only the open squares fits the entered budgets while preserving all nine protected positions.
These PDFs come from the actual app export and contain example data only. Six colours are part of Plus. They are material and colour plans, not complete stitch instructions or guarantees of yarn consumption.
Start with one measured project
Enter the yarn and colours you want to use now. You do not need to catalogue your entire stash first. A sample of identical rows at the same width, or identical single-colour squares, supplies the consumption estimate. Unknown amounts remain unknown.
Keep the work you have already done
Record progress and replan open parts after a new weighing. Finished and locked parts stay in place. A new weighing becomes the stock reference, so earlier estimated consumption is not deducted again.
Local projects and useful exports
Keep projects on your device and export material and colour plans as PDF. File backup and restore remain free. Backup files are not encrypted; choose their recipients and storage location carefully. SkeinCheck has no app account or automatic cloud synchronisation. The operating system may include local data in device backups.
Free core, optional Plus
Free includes one active project, three colours and one saved layout per project, along with calculation, progress, replanning, exports and file backups. Plus is a non-consumable one-time purchase for multiple active projects, up to twelve colours and up to twenty saved layouts per project. No subscription or advertising. The app displays the current Store price before purchase. Existing projects stay readable, editable and exportable without Plus.
The core works offline. Purchase and purchase restore need a Store connection and the same Store account. Restoring a purchase does not restore local project files. Yarn estimates depend on your actual sample, technique, tension and chosen reserve.
Support and privacy
Optional technical error diagnosis requires consent. Project names, notes, photos and purchase receipts are excluded from diagnostic events.
